Copy exemplification of a decree of the court of the Duchy of Lancaster declaring the freedom of inhabitants of Leeds from tolls in Hull and Beverley as parcel of the Duchy of Lancaster, relates to a case brought by the Inhabitants of Leeds against Mr Bentley for taking tolls from them. Used in a case brought in 1682 by the Mayor and Burgesses of Hull against Michael Beilby, Richard Taylor of Newhill, merchant, and Richard Taylor of Waldingwell, merchant, concerning the evasion of woolhouse dues
