January 26th 1887 70 miles from Spurn. The smack Cruiser of Hull broke our gamman and bowsprit. Carelessness of the Cruiser.
February 16th 230 miles from Spurn. Collision with Hull smack. Neglect of the watch 3rd Hand not keeping a proper look out.
