An incident involving the forces of Henry III and the men of Holderness who refused to turn out for the overlord, Prince Edward, later Edward I. The incident is mentioned in the Meaux Chronicle and took place in the West Carr in the parish of Sutton, now the site of Bude Park, Sutton Park and Thomas Clarkson Way.
