The Appeals Committee of Hull City Council

Dates:
1976-1991

Description

Admin History:
The Appeals Committee had the delegated powers to hear and determine appeals on disciplinary matters. The whole council was regarded as an appeals panel for the purpose of these appeals. As cases arose, the Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the Personnel Committee were authorised to select and appoint 5 members who had not previously been involved in the case to be the Appeals Committee. It was established by the Policy Committee on 22 June 1976 and wound up as a separate committee in 1991.
Description:
Apart from records within the main committee series and any associated reports, there does not appear to be any additional records for the Appeals Committee
