The Hull and Barton Ferry Committee was established in January 1836, one of the first committees of the new corporation created after the Municipal Reform Act of 1835. It was to look at ferry provision between the towns, paying particular attention to the lessees of the ferry. After reporting back in October 1839, the committee was dissolved.
