Hull Town Council Dues and Docks Bill Deputation Committee

Dates:
1852

Description

Admin History:
The Towns Dues and Docks Bill Deputation Committee was officially established in March 1852, although there had been earlier moves to investigate the issue of dock dues. It was set up in response to a bill being presented in parliament by the Hull Docks Company, which would have effected the dues owed to the town through its water bailiffs. The committee appears to have been wound up after reporting back in November 1852 although the dispute regarding the dues continued until March 1853.
