Admin History:
The Enquiry (Special) Committee was set up in March 1923 in order to enquire into the administration of the various departments of the Corporation. It was to report back to the full council, setting out what changes, if any, appear to the committee to be desirable to ensure that the business of the Corporation shall be more economically carried on without impairing its efficiency. It presented its report in February 1924 and was dissolved in March of the same year.
