Description

Admin History:
The Local Acts Committee was formed after the full council meeting on 14 January 1836. It was initially to consider whether the powers under various acts of parliament regarding lamps and scavengers, at present with the local improvement commissioners, could be transferred to newly created Hull Town Council. It would go on to review the constables and watchmen employed by the commissioners as well. The committee was dissolved after it reported back in February 1836.
