Records of the Hull Town Council Property and Revenues Enquiry Committee

Dates:
1860-1864

Description

Admin History:
Although officially called the Property and Revenues Enquiry Committee, but more commonly known as the Revenue Enquiry Committee, this committee was appointed in December 1859. It was to examine the property and revenues of the Corporation, to ensure they were audited and to consider any improvements to the system that may be required. The last set of minutes for the committee are for 27 April 1860, which only indicate it was adjourned until the following Friday. However, reports seem to have been submitted to the committee up to November 1864, although these do not appear to have been recorded in the council minutes.
