Admin History:

The Salvage (Special) Committee was appointed in March 1942 with four members, two of whom were the chairman and deputy-chairman of the Cleansing and Sanitary Committee, as the 2 committees would be working very closely together. It was delegated all the powers and duties with regard the collection and salvage and any appropriate publicity thus required. It was terminated in July 1945.
