Admin History:
The art critic and historian Paul Konody was born in Budapest in 1872. He was educated in Vienna before coming to live in London in 1889. He wrote for the 'Observer' and 'The Daily Mail' and edited 'The Artist' during 1900-1902. His published works cover a range of artists from Walter Crane to Velasquez, Raphael to Delacroix, as well as wider subjects such as art and war (published around the First World War), and French and Italian painting. He died in 1933.
