Letter sent by Mr Lamb to George Trewman, attorney at Hull, including a copy of a Latin writ of distringas [to distrain] dated 12 Feb 1678 issued against the Mayor and Burgesses of Hull and informing him that he has delayed the return of it as long as possible, relates to a case brought in 1682 by the Mayor and Burgesses of Hull against Michael Beilby, Richard Taylor of Newhill, merchant, and Richard Taylor of Waldingwell, merchant, concerning the evasion of woolhouse dues
