Affidavit sworn by Henry Winchester that writings and documents to be inspected in a case were delivered to him as ordered by the Mayor and Burgesses of Hull, relates to a case brought by the Attorney General against the Mayor and Burgess of Hull concerning the maintenance of the castle and blockhouses at Hull given to the custody of the Mayor and Burgesses by Edward VI in 1552
