Description:

Warrant issued by the Mayor and Burgesses of Hull to the Chief Constable to levy a rate in the county towards the repair of ditches etc, and to compound for their liability by helping with the work, used as evidence in a case heard in the Council of the North brought by Robert Legard of Anlaby against the Mayor and Burgess of Hull concerning the liability of the county to be rated towards the cleansing of the town ditches, and repair work towards drawbridges etc.
