Relates to a case in the Court of Exchequer in a suit by certain London merchants concerning the theft of goods etc. to the value of £1300 from the ship Speedwell of London, whose master was Thomas Hillard, and which was driven into the River Humber and aground by stress of weather in February 1676. Merchants bringing the suit named as follows: John Martin Elkin, John Londres, Adrian Byer, John Weymouth, Peter Orgar, Francis Lodwick, William Horne, William Smith, Abraham Kawide.
