Names of Overseers [blank] to authorise and require the several Church Wardens and Overseers above named to assess the sum of [blank] (3 copies), two signed by Wm. Hall, Mayor & [?]. Also included is letter for an act for the better maintenance, employment and regulation of the Poor of the Town of Kingston upon Hull, and for repairing or rebuilding the Workhouse, dated 9 Jul 1831 and appointment for the sum of £8,500 for the repairing or rebuilding of the Workhouse, dated 1 Jul 1831. This includes amounts levied against each ward with the following Overseers appointed to collect the poor rate: Wm. Henderson, North Myton Ward and South Myton Ward; Wm. Dickinson, Humber Ward, Austin Ward, Trinity Ward, Whitefriar Ward, St. Mary's Ward and North Ward, dated 9 Jul 1831 and signed by Robt. Keddy; Henry Davenport; John Cammell; Wm Pickering; Ralph Jackson; John Collinson; Geo. Cammell; Edward Hollidge & Wm. Wetwand.
