William Thornton Ferrier, Overseer for Humber Ward; Robert Foster the younger, Overseer for Austin Ward; John Wright, Overseer for Trinity Ward; Thomas [?] He[n]son, Overseer for Whitefriar Ward; Robert Lockwood, Overseer for St. Mary's Ward; John Leonard the younger, Overseer for North Ward; William Jameson, Overseer for North Myton Ward; Edward Squire, Overseer for South Myton Ward to authorise and require the several Church Wardens and Overseers above named to assess the sum of £9, 850. Sums levied against each ward are recorded, signed by John Barkworth, Mayor & Charles Whit[?]. Also included an appointment of the sum of £9,850 being the amount certified as necessary for the relief of the poor from 1 Aug 1834 to 31 Jan 1835, signed W.B. Day; William Jameson; Wm. Wetwand; Tho. Wilson; John Leonard; Robt. Foster Jnr; Jno. Wright; Thos. Hewson; Robt. Lockwood; Edward Squire; Wm. Henson, dated 21 Jul 1834. A letter also included certifying William Henderson and John Lee are appointed Assistant Overseers for the collection of the poor rate for the several wards for the town of Kingston upon Hull, dated 29 Jul 1834
