Hannah Newsam was the wife of Beaumont Shepherd Newsam, formerly of the Borough of Kingston upon Hull, a Police Officer. He is thought to have deserted her and the children and gone to live in America. They are belived to have married in Leeds in Feb 1853. Hannah was previously married to Matthew Clapham, a grocer who died in 1851.
