Offence: 1st count on the 7 Jun 1902 falsely pretending to one Charles Edward Gardiner that a certain paper writing produced and purporting to be a cheque drawn by him upon the Halifax Bank Co. Ltd bankers and payable at their Castleford Branch Bank for the payment of £6 6s was then a good genuine and available order for the payment of £6 6s and that he kept an account with the said branch for the payment of the said cheque by means whereof he obtained £6 6s
