Copy agreement for settlement of the co-partnership of Messrs Sissons Brothers and Co at the expiration of the partnership term

Description:
This copy agreement was made between Thomas Sissons the elder, Richard Jennison Sissons, Thomas Sissons, the younger and Jonathan Dove Sissons all of the Parish of Sculcoates, Paint and Colour Manufacturers. The agreement was dissolved, by mutual consent, so far as concerns the said Richard Jennison Sissons as from 1 Jan 1846. All debts due owing by the said co-partnership will be received and paid by Thomas Sissons, the elder, Thomas Sissons, the younger and Jonathan Dove Sissons, by whom the business will in future be carried by their separate account, under the present firm. This followed an earlier agreement made between all four men on 9 Apr 1836 to establish a co-partnership for the duration of 10 years. Witnessed by John Earnshaw, Solicitor, Hull and William Frankish, his Clerk.
