In this period pupils were evacuated to Scarborough, Bingley and Bourne under Hull City Council schemes and the correspondence relates to plans for these schemes, billeting, schooling arrangements for evacuated pupils, etc. Note that the original letters can be found in files from the period which have survived in this collection.
