This seriescontains records of Hull Hebrew Girls School, opened in premises in Lower Union Street under the auspices of Mrs Isobel Jacobs, wife of B.S. Jacobs, was relocated to premises in Osborne Street on 2 Nov 1885. Application was made by Mrs Isobel Jacobs to the Education Department to have the school designated a Public Elementary School, which application was granted on 6 Nov 1885. The school was again relocated to premises in Linnaeus Street on 16 Jun 1902, and the management of the school was reorganised shortly after the move when on 22 Nov 1903 it was officially placed under the auspices of the City Council Education Committee.
