- This seriescontains records of Hull Jewish Institute, also known as 'The Club', with premises at 208 Anlaby Road, established on the 21 October 1951. The purpose of the Institute was to maintain a centre for social amenities for use by the Jewish community in Hull and the surrounding area. Activities to be undertaken at the centre were to include ectures, debates, concerts, and athletics. The Institute was also intended to assist Jewish religious, cultural, and charitable organisations through the provision of facilities to carry out their activities.
