Objectives are to provide 'opportunity for collaboration and co-ordinate action on the part of the Jews of Hull and District', to 'take note of all proceedings relating to legislative and municipal enactments and to use such means as it may deem necessary in order to protect and preserve the religious rites, customs and privileges of the Jewish Community of Hull and District', to 'watch over the interests of the Jewish Community in and around Hull and to take such action on its behalf as the Council may deem necessary', and to 'draft such measures as it may think proper and call to its aid, cooperate with, and obtain the advice of any persons or bodies, and make official communications with appropriate authorities in reference to all matters connected with the objects of the Council'; Membership to include 'Jewish organisations in and around Hull consisting wholly of Jewish membership'; Council to consist of three representatives of each synagogue and one from other organisations being constituent bodies, the Communal Rabbi, all persons representing Hull Constituents on Board of Deputies of British Jews, Jewish MPs representing Hull and District Parliamentary Division, Local Jewish Magistrates, Alderman and Councillors invited to serve; Representatives must be at least 21 excepting Youth Organisations Representatives who must be at least 18; To be governed by Council of Honorary President , Honorary Vice Presidents, Honorary Treasurer, and Honorary Secretaries to be elected annually at AGM; Executive Committee to consist of President, Vice Presidents, Honorary Treasurer, Honorary Secretary and members elected from Council; Council to meet at least four times a year; Income required for activities of the Council 'shall be assessed upon and paid by the said Constituent Bodies'; Affiliated committees listed as B'nai B'rith Youth Organisation, B'nai B'rith (Men's Lodge), B'nai B'rith (Women's Lodge), Board of Shechita, Council of Clergy, Communal Talmud Torah, Daughters of Zion, Friends of the Anti-T.B. League of Israel, Grand Order of Israel of the Shield of David, Hull Central Synagogue, Hull Central Synagogue Ladies Guild, Hull Hebrew Board of Guardians, Hull Jewish Gold Society, Hull Jewish Ex-Servicemen and Women's Association, Hull Jewish Orphan Aid Society, Hull Jewish Club Limited, Hull Judeans Maccabi Association, Hull Zionist Society, League of Jewish Women, Hull Western Synagogue, Hull Western Synagogue Ladies Guild, Old Hebrew Congregation, Old Hebrew Congregation Ladies Guild, W.I.Z.O.
