This seriescontains records of the Hull Public Relations Committee, known as the Hull Jewish Co-ordinating Committee prior to July 1947, which operated under the auspices of the Board of Deputies of British Jews Provincial Liaison Committee.
The first meetings of the Hull Jewish Co-ordinating Committee was on 2 November 1936 and their final meeting was held 1 July 1947. The first meeting of the Hull Public Relations Committee on 29 July 1947 was at No.19 Linnaeus Street. The committee was responsible for investigating and reporting anti-Semitic feeling and occurrences in Hull, and for improving the profile of Jews in Britain. It was part of a co-ordinated national programme under the auspices of the Board of Deputies of British Jews Provincial Liaison Committee.
