The Hull Zionist Society was founded in 1931 to promote in the city, the ideals of the Jewish National movement. The inaugural President was Samuel Lang with Annette Goodman as the first Secretary. The society organised a programme of events which included a variety of speakers and was also responsible for the Jewish National Fund contribution boxes in the city.
