Volume contains minutes of the monthly meetings, AGMs and Special meetings of the Hull Old Hebrew Congregation Council, with Mr J.E. Cohen, President, Mr J. Rosenthal, Treasurer, Mr P. Hart, Secretary. Business in this period heavily concerned with Activities of the Jewish community during WWWI, and the formation of a communal council of the three Hull congregations. Manuscript and signed.

Special Service of Intercession to be held 'for the cessation of the War', Dec 1915, Fund for the Relief of the Jewish Victims of the war in Russia, joint Talmud Torah discussions with Cogan Street congregation, invite to 'the other two Hull Congregations to a Conference re-forming a Board of Schechita, 16 Jan 1916; Mortgage re the shool, 13 Feb 1916; Blind Institute 'for the indigent blind of the Jewish persuasion', Joint congregation approach to providing for 'Jewish soldiers who might be in need for Passover', 5 Mar 1916; Motion that letters be sent to the other two Hull congregations 're a general conference as to the advisability of forming a Communal Council to deal with matters affecting the Congregations and Community generally', 29 Oct 1916; Election of men to the 'Hull Hebrew Communal Council', 26 Nov 1916; '[P]oor funerals per the Hull Hebrew Board of Guardians, 31 Dec 1916; Formation of a sub-committee to deal with the matter of a Roll of Honour for the members of the Jewish Community generally serving in the army', 22 Apr 1917; Hebrew Initiation Society, London, and the Mortgage Fund 24 Jun 1917; Formation of an Advisory Committee to the Hull Hebrew Board of Guardians re cases of hardship arising from Military Order calling up Russians in England to serve in the British Army, 1 Sep 1917; Proposal that all names of departed members of this congregation be entered in a new book for the purpose, 21 Oct 1917; Circular letter from English Zionist Federation requesting congregations to extend formal thanks to His Majesty's Government for their support re establishment of a national Home for the Jewish People in Palestine, 18 Nov 1917.
