- Contains notes, family trees, correspondence etc relating genealogical research into Jewish families with Hull connections and associations. Note that this file is arranged alphabetically by surname and has been split into six bundles by Mr Lennard. Bundle 1 relates to surnames beginning A-F and includes a typescript index of surnames appearing in each file compiled by Dr David Lewis, Bundle 2 relates to surnames beginning G-H, Bundle 3 relates to surnames beginning I-R, Bundle 5 relates to surnames beginning S, Bundle 5 relates to surnames beginning T-Z, Bundle 6 relates to various additional surnames. Compiled during the course of research by Jack Lennard in his capacity as an amateur historian and administrator of the former Hull Jewish Museum based at Linnaeus Street Synagogue following the sale of the synagogue when the Hull Western and Old Hebrew Congregations amalgamated in 1993.
