File contains papers relating to the Marfleet Cemetery. This cemetery belonged to the Hull Old Hebrew Congregation and in 1972-1973 an exisiting Tarah House, or prayer house, was pulled down and a new prayer house was constructed. Papers include correspondence relating to the construction of the 1972-1973 Tarah House, a plan of the site, photographs of headstones, buildings and dedication plaques at the cemetery, notes taken from census returns relating to residents of the Sexton's house at the cemetery, photocopy of a transcript of memorial inscriptions at the cemetery produced by Jack Allerston in 1990, and plans of graves in the cemetery produced by Dr David Lewis, copies and notes relating to the purchase of land for memorials, a copy of the notice that the Ohel is dedicated to the memory of Max Gold and officially opened by Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis 29 April 2018 and photocopies of deeds relating to the site.
