Subseriescontains research files and papers of Judge Israel Finestein. Judge Finestein was a member of the Hull Jewish Community in the mid 20th century before being appointed as a High Court Judge and moving to London. He was an accomplished scholar and enthusiastic local and amateur historian. His papers, where connected to Hull, were donated to the Hull Jewish Archive by the executors of his estate.

Papers include research notes and drafts of papers and talks compiled by Judge Finestein on various aspects of Hull Jewish history.
