File contains the following papers and research notes compiled by Israel Finestein and donated to the Hull Archive by the Executors of his estate: Members cards for various Boulevard Secondary School societies belonging to Israel Finestein, 1938-1939; Correspondence, press cuttings and rough notes regarding references to Manchestarians, the Schwetzer family, Hull Conversionists, quarrels within the Hull commmunity etc, 1950s-1960s; Rough notes re inscriptions on headstones in Hessle Road and Delhi Street cemeteries; Rough notes re Jews in Hull taken from Hull street directories; Rough notes re marriage certificates from 1838-1893; Rough drafts and notes relating to talks given by Finestein including one on the History of Hull Jewry printed in the Journal of the Historical Society vol.35 1996-1998.
