Subseriescontains research files and papers of J.W. [also Yank] Finestein. Mr Finestein was a prominent member of the Hull Jewish Community and was involved in the governing boards, committees and councils of various Jewish organisations. His papers, where connected to Hull, were donated to the Hull Jewish Archive by the executors of his estate.

Papers include research notes and drafts of papers and talks compiled by Mr Finestein on various aspects of Hull Jewish history.
