They consist of two personal diaries charting his time spent as a Pupil Engineering Assistant at the City Engineers Department, Hull. At the front of one of the diaries is a list of work that he was involved with, the date and page number in the diary where information about the work undertaken appears. Included are photographs for some of the works, Peter's own notes, drawings and calculations
