Description:

The envelope contains correspondence between the Humber Conservancy Commissioners and the Board of Trade on the subject of chalk deposits in the Old Harbour (Hull), Old Harbour dredging, and the Conservator for the Humber's Résumé for 1901.

It also contains a letter from the Conservator containing extracts from a report by Jarred [?] on the Lower Trent accompanying the 1885 survey a manuscript specification for a twin screw surveying steam launch to steam ten knots, and a copy of the evidence of Thomas Newton as to deposits in the Old Harbour.
