Coastwise Shipping Dues: Hull

A register of shipping dues collected by the Humber Conservancy Board at Kingston upon Hull from coasting/coastwise vessels (i.e. vessels that have arrived from another domestic British port, and have not crossed a sea or ocean).
The following information is included for each ship entered into the register:
1. Date reported
2. Receipt number
3. Name of vessel
4. Port of departure
5. Registered tonnage
6. Amount of dues paid
7. Date dues paid
8. Exemptions (when applicable)
At the end of each month a summary of the number of vessels, the total registered tonnage, and the total amount of dues paid for that month is provided. End of year summaries for 1918 (page 61), 1919 (page 149), 1920 (page 226), and 1921 (page 306) have been included.
The volume also incorporates dues collected from vessels arriving in the Grimsby Roads (awaiting convoys etc.) between January 1918 and April 1919: see pages 6-17, 26, 34, 41, 48, 54, 62, 68, and 76. From March 1919 the reporting of these vessels is included with the main list of coasting vessels at the end of the month.
