Dates:
31 Dec 1942-31 Jan 1964
Description:

A seriesof annual files containing Pensioner's Life Certificates from individuals in receipt of a pension from the Humber Conservancy Board. Each certificate is certified by either a Magistrate, Commissioner for Oaths, a Police Office (not below the rank of Sergeant), or a Minister of Religion to confirm they are still alive and therefore eligible for continued payments. The forms are also signed by the pensioner in question who also certifies the amount of pension they are entitled to, and the rate at which it is payable.

The Life Certificates were originally filed with annual account audit files kept by the Chief Collectors Office of the Humber Conservancy Board, and once formed a section within these files.

There is an omission in the series for the year 1946.
