Foreign Shipping Dues: Grimsby [and Immingham]

Description:

A register of shipping dues collected at Grimsby by the Humber Conservancy Board from vessels arriving from foreign ports (i.e. ships that have arrived from ports outside the United Kingdom).

The volume also includes a section on dues collected from vessels arriving at Immingham covering the period 31 Dec 1910 to 31 Dec 1911: see folios 241-249.

The following information is included for each ship entered into the register:

1. Date reported

2. Receipt Number

3. Name of vessel

4. Port of departure

5. Registered tonnage

6. Tonnage of deck cargo (when applicable)

7. Amount of dues paid

8. Date dues paid

9. Exemptions (when applicable)

Each month includes a summary of the number of vessels, total registered tonnage and the total amount of dues paid for that month. End of year summaries for 1909 (folio 68), 1910 (folio 139), and 1911 (folio 209) have been included for Grimsby. An end of year summary for Immingham for 1911 can be found on folio 249.
