File comprises correspondence between the engineer to the Humber Conservancy Board, the London and North Eastern Railway District engineer, London and Sheffield, the Post Office engineer, Lincoln, the Trent Navigation Company, and the North Lincolnshire Iron Co., regarding a multitude of works being carried out on the River Trent. These include, piling at on the West bank at Stockwith, a submarine cable across the river between Althorpe and Burringham, reconstruction of Gunness Wharf, dredging at the entrance of Keadby Canal, derelict piles at East Stockwith, etc.
