File comprises correspondence between the engineer to the Humber Conservancy Board, the Marine Superintendent, London, Midland and Scottish Railway Co. Goole, and Mr. Mountifield, Superintendent, Brough Office, regarding various operations in the Upper Humber system. This includes moving of gas floats and beacons, reporting sinking, etc, to the engineer’s office Hull, lights on Broomfleet Island being down, etc. Includes an operation order document for the navigable channel between Read’s Island and Whitton, as well as files of the inspection of lightstations in the Upper Humber, and also the fuel consumptions for the vessel Hikibydo.
