- The file comprises letters, sent (and received) by the Engineer to the Humber Conservancy Board (Arthur Ernest Butterfield), regarding various proposed (and ongoing) projects on the banks of the River Humber. The main project in the file is the construction of the Admiralty Pier as described by the North Killingholme Pier Bill, 1912, in Parliament. Other Projects covered within the file includes: a proposed new frontage to the Humber Iron Works Yard for the Humber Warehousing and Transport Company, a Jetty at Killingholme (known as the Mitchell Scheme) and possible silting problems, a proposed retaining wall in Barton Haven, a sewer outfall for Grimsby Rural District Council North of Stallingborough Haven, a drain at Goxhill Haven for Klondyke Brickyard, and a drain at Hessle Foreshore for Mr T. Priestman Junior.
