- The file comprises correspondence, received (and sent) by the Engineer to the Humber Conservancy Board (Arthur Ernest Butterfield), to/from various suppliers of electrical and wireless telegraph radio equipment connected with the operation of the Spurn Lightship [HCB LV. 12]; the Lightship also broadcast a wireless beacon fog signal. It includes records on oil usage and 'New Articles Required' (Form A) forms for the vessel. It also includes records for fog signal ringings during 1927 and 1928; the crew had requested extra remuneration for these duties.
