Description:: File comprises correspondence between the engineer to the Humber Conservancy Board, the Marine Superintendent, Forth Conservancy, and the Submarine Signal Company (London) Ltd., regarding the installation and operation of the nautophone and oscillator fog signal equipment, fitted on the Spurn Lightship. There appears to have been various ongoing problems with the operation of this equipment whilst in service on the Lightship, with the cable connected to the oscillator head, being a particular problem.
