Description:: The file comprises correspondence, sent (and received) by the Engineer to the Humber Conservancy Board (Arthur Ernest Butterfield), to/from Hepple and Company Limited, South Shields, regarding the construction of a new Launch No. 627 (later named 'W. S. Wright'). It includes the following: safety certificates for the Launch's equipment, a lighting and fog signal inspection, lists of stores not delivered for the vessel, an outfit list for the vessel, claims for expenses and 'extras' incurred by Hepple and Company staff, a report of a River Trial testing the Launch on the River Tyne and its subsequent journey to Hull, and a copy of the contact for the vessel.
