Description:: File comprises correspondence between the engineer to the Humber Conservancy Board, and the Submarine Signal Company (London) Ltd., regarding the operation of the nautophone and oscillator equipment fitted on the Spurn Lightship. There appears to have been various problems with this equipment, including repeated trouble with the condensers and the Engineer notes to the Board that he is unhappy with the service from the Submarine Signal Company.
