File comprises correspondence and sundry reports between the engineer to the Humber Conservancy Board, the Royal Air Force Bombing Range, Donna Nook, the Hydrographic Department, London, and the Public Health Department, Grimsby, regarding a variety of activities being carried out within the River Humber System. This includes tar deposits entering the system from the Brough gas works, breaking up and removal of old vessels at Paull and other locations on the River Humber system, telephone cables between New Holland pier and St. Andrews dock extension, problems with the laying of a post office submarine cable between Hessle and Barton, a collision at Hedon Haven, proposed process work by Courtaulds, Grimsby, effluent disposal from Cod Liver Oils Ltd. Grimsby, etc.
