- File comprises correspondence between the engineer to the Humber Conservancy Board, Imperial Chemical Industries Ltd. Bradford, Purdy and White Ltd, Leeds, and other explosives suppliers, regarding the Conservancy’s Explosives Store on Reads Island in the River Humber, its contents and warning notices. Includes a specification for the store. The explosives were mainly used on wrecks within the River Humber system. Mr George Pickering of Paull appears to be the man who transported the explosives from Brough Station having arrived from the supplier, to the store on Reads Island.
