- File comprises correspondence between the engineer to the Humber Conservancy Board, William Broady and Son, Hull, and Henry Hughes and Son Ltd, Essex, regarding the supply and overhaul of echo sounding equipment, fitted on the S.Y. W.S. Wright. Includes a report of a successful test run in February 1938 in the River Humber of the equipment after its overhaul, as well as an echo sounder spare catalogue. The engineer has sent a praiseworthy report of the echo sounder’s capabilities to the Clyde Navigation Trust who are very interested in the machine and it is noted that there are other port authorities and fishing companies who are very interested in the echo sounders performance and accuracy.
