Description:
The file comprises, letters sent (and received) by the Engineer to the Humber Conservancy Board (Arthur Ernest Butterfield), to/from Goedhart Brothers Limited regarding the dredging work carried out on the Hebble Shoal in the River Humber, just outside the Alexandra Dock. It includes weekly reports on the dredging work, which show the site on the Shoal, the dredger, the barge no., and the quantity dredged in cubic yards. It also includes lists showing where the dredged material was deposited in the Humber, and a letter from the Grand Central Railway about the effects the deposition of this spoil is having on the Humber near Immingham. Dredging plans have also been included in the file.
