File comprises correspondence between the engineer to the Humber Conservancy Board, the Commodore to the Pilots, Hull, regarding the grounding of various vessels throughout the River Humber system. Includes reports of an oil tanker (probably the S.S. Irwell) hitting a mine off Immingham Dock, it was then beached on the Yorkshire side of the River Humber in the Vicinity of No. 6 Sunk split buoy. Includes reports of other groundings.
