- File comprises correspondence between the engineer to the Humber Conservancy Board, Marconi International Marine, Company Ltd., London, and various suppliers of spares and equipment required by the Board for the operation, maintenance and repair of the Spurn lightship. Examples of the Board’s requirements are ink and paper for the fog recording unit, accumulator acid for cleaning out the electric accumulators on board the vessel, various engine spare parts, nautophone equipment repairs (from Germany), etc. Also includes specifications for the damage and repair work required, as well as particulars of explosions heard at the lightship forms.
